Leo (AKA gaycowboyjesus or spicecandy) was a dear friend to many of us. A Week for Leo, a multifandom week, exists to honor his memory by doing what he dedicated his time in fandom to: bringing people together to create! Across fandoms, ships and communities, we celebrated Leo and all the things he loved.A Week for Leo ran from July 12th to July 18th 2026.To Leo: We love you. We miss you. Rest easy and thanks for everything.
how it works
A Week for Leo is open to everyone who wants to participate and pay tribute to Leo. The event week is over, but we are continuing to share submissions while we work on a digital zine archiving all event pieces.Below we provided a week full of prompts and Leo-isms to inspire your creations. You can contribute fanworks for fandoms and ships he enjoyed; you can also work on something you talked with him about, or anything that reminds you of him. Playlists, a collage of quotes and memes, everything is welcome.This is how it works:
- Create something for Leo.
- Use #ForLeo and tag our Bluesky on your post(s) so we can collect and share! We also have an AO3 collection.
- Make sure to use the appropriate moderation tools to keep everyone comfortable, e.g. by applying ship tags or content warnings.Already created something for Leo?
